The box below contains 37 words and phrasal verbs related to starting or stopping something. You will find these by reading horizontally left to right () and vertically down () only. Try to find as many of these as possible, then use them to complete sentences 1 – 25. In many cases, these sentences can be completed with more than one of the words / expressions. In the case of the verbs, you will need to change the form of some of them (for example, by adding -ed to the end).
