Look at the boxes below.
In the first box, you will see a list
of verbs in bold, and some of the words we use with them. These are all
things that people do in their free time.
In the second box, you will see a list
of verbs we use to say that we like something.
In the third box, you will see a list
of adjectives that we use to describe why we enjoy different activities.
Use your dictionary to check that you
understand all the words and expressions, then write a few sentences to say
what you enjoy doing in your free time, and why you enjoy doing them.

For activities like photography,
cooking, painting, writing, drawing, sewing and knitting, there are no
special verbs. We usually use enjoy or other verbs (e.g., I enjoy photography
/ taking photographs).
Activities that you do outside the
house are called outdoor activities.
