A very long time ago, there
was a handsome king called Trisanku. Everyday the king stood in front of
his mirror and said, "(1) ____How
handsome I am !____ (handsome /I /am /how) I don't ever want to leave
this beautiful body!"
One day King Trisanku went to
see Vasistha, a wise old man. The king said, "(2) _______________ (me /send

Vasistha was very angry with
the king. "(3) _______________!"(out/ and /come back /get/ never)
he said.
The king went back to his
palace feeling sad. He stood in front of his mirror and looked at himself.
"(4) _______________!" (skin /beautiful /what /have /I) he said.
"I can't die and leave it."
Unfortunately, his three sons
heard these words. They were angry because they wanted to be the king one
day. They cursed their father. As the king continued to look at himself in
the mirror, his skin dried up, his face went white and his beautiful robes
turned into rags.
"(5) _______________?"
(happening /what /is) cried the king.
(6_______________ .(servants /his

They quickly grabbed hold of him and threw him out of the palace.
"Stop Immediately. I am
your king," King Trisanku ordered.
"Huh!" said a
servant. "(7) _______________ (you /think /what /that's) You're just a

and he travelled a long, long way. (8) _______________. (under /slept/ he /trees)

One afternoon, the king was
resting under a tree when some people went past.

another.
A hermit Viswaamitra, who was
travelling with the two men, recognized the king. "No," he said.
